But have you ever stopped to consider how difficult it can be to find them these days? Especially if you live in an urban area with limited access to farms or rural areas with limited farming options? Eating healthy doesn’t have to be difficult – especially if you follow a few easy Whole

Food Tips.

Go with your gut instinct

Most of us have heard that eating a balanced diet is good for you – but is it? Many people think that because they’ve heard it so often, they understand what ‘balanced’ means. They might think that they have good or ‘balanced’ diets because they are getting sodium, sugar, tea or coffee, bread or pasta, and fatty or sugary foods in their daily diet. But actually, people who have a balanced diet have lots of healthy foods, but low people of sodium, sugar, fat, and cholesterol don’t. So, the question is, does it really matter what ‘balanced’ means anyway? The truth is that your body has evolved to be efficient at using energy - which means that it’s trying to balance all the things that are not so good for you with the things that are! And the truth is that your body does amazing things when it comes to using nutrients – it’s just that we don’t always understand it fully.

Don’t be afraid to try new things

This is something that we’re all guilty of. We know that eating a variety of foods is good for us, but we’re afraid to try new things. We think that we don’t need to try out a new vegetable or a new fruit just because we’ve eaten them before. But actually, you should eat a variety of things to get the complete range of nutrients that you need – especially if you’re a young person. As you get older, you’re likely to lose some of your hunger receptors, meaning that you may not crave as many foods – or be hungry as often. So, eat a variety of things! Your body needs a wide variety of nutrients to function properly, and you’re more likely to get sick from eating a certain type of food if you don’t consume enough of it. So, don’t be afraid to try new foods. Just, do it slowly and make sure you are getting your nutrients.

Eat a variety of different foods

This is a big one! You’re probably thinking that you don’t need to eat a variety of different foods to get your nutrients. But actually, you do! Because you have to get a range of nutrients from a variety of sources – not just a single type of food. So, getting enough protein, vitamins and minerals from different foods is essential. But, you don’t have to eat meat, fish, poultry or eggs every day. In fact, you should be able to say ‘no’ to certain foods on a consistent basis. You should be able to say ‘no’ to certain foods for a few months at a time, not every day. The same applies to carbohydrates, fats, and fiber. You should be able to say ‘no’ to certain foods for a while and then be able to slowly regain the benefits of those foods without getting hungry. This is called a ‘vegetarian’ lifestyle, and it’s a lot less harmful to your body than being a ‘meat’ eater all the time. So, when you’re ready, try some new foods!

Stay hydrated

This one is kind of a no-brainer! We all know that water is the most important nutrient in our diet, and that’s why it’s so important to stay hydrated. You don’t need to drink water from a bottle – that’s gross and unhealthy. You can also get water from a variety of sources. You can drink drinks or water from the tap, or you can buy water filters. And when it comes to drinking beverages, there’s actually a difference between regular and herbal – so, don’t get confused! When you’re thirsty, drink your normal beverages. But, when you’re not thirsty, you can drink your herbal beverage. It’s the same with food – you shouldn’t be hungry all the time, so don’t eat heavy meals. Instead, snack on healthy foods like nuts, vegetables, or fruits. And, last but not least, drink your water!
